Doximity, the professional medical network, announced the release of the first comprehensive data study examining physician employment trends in the field of telemedicine. This is the first study of its kind to analyze U.S. physician interest in telemedicine jobs, examining interest by age, employment status, gender, geographic location and speciality. The study found that the number of physicians who self-reported telemedicine as a skill between 2015 and 2018 has doubled and continues to increase annually by 20 percent. Click here to read the full report.

trineOMICS, who provide a robust DNA based view of the risk for heart disease, announced that their consumer genomic heart disease risk DNA test will now be offered at UCSF, Emory, National Jewish In Denver, University of Chicago and MetroWest Health in central Massachusetts. They have also begun creating a clinical model using DNA to predict at what age a person should get a Heart Calcium Test (mammogram of the heart) to screen for heart disease.
