BDO Health’s new poll Treating Healthcare Distress surveyed 100 CFOs at U.S. provider organizations about their top financial challenges, opportunities and investment priorities for 2020. To survive in an environment that’s flipping their traditional business model on its head, more than a third (33%) of healthcare organizations overall are considering transforming their entire operating model in the next year—with hospitals making up 66% of them. Another poll, Sustaining Life Sciences asked 100 CFOs at U.S. life sciences organizations about their top financial challenges, opportunities and investment priorities for 2020. While life sciences CFOs are projecting solid but tempered revenue and profitability growth, increasing public pressure to curb product prices and prove value is forcing the industry to chart a more sustainable path forward.
