Doximity, the professional medical network for physicians, released its 2019 U.S. Physician Employment Report, which analyzed growth in the physician marketplace by geographic location, medical speciality, and compensation. The study showed a 5% increase in job opportunities for physicians in the U.S. since 2018. In addition, family and internal medicine physicians were in greatest demand among specialists.
