Addressing Social Determinants & Health Equity
Over the past few years, the terms “social determinants of health” and “health equity” have begun to permeate conversations among health professionals, both in NYC and around the country. Companies are being formed and funded to address the disparities in health access and outcomes. Much of the promise depends on the acquisition and analysis of data to uncover problems, inform practices and ultimately help the individuals and communities most in need. We will explore how various stakeholders are using data to drive change, the types of data that are most valuable, and the impact of transparency and privacy.
