Bio: Natasha Deckmann, MD

Natasha Deckmann, M.D. joined Optum as Senior Vice President in September 2013, and now leads the Population Health Solutions (PHS) business and has accountability for the development of Optum Synchronization, a company wide solution which integrates Optum Rx and CSG products.  Until recently, Natasha served as Chief Operating Officer of Consumer Solutions Group (CSG) where she had responsibility for ensuring the overall effectiveness of CSG, driving key operational and strategic initiatives, managing the overall CSG portfolio and the product development and infrastructure, managing corporate functions, overseeing M&A activities and leading CSG capabilities including Healthcare Analytics, Reporting, Network Strategy, and Business Transformation.  Natasha has extensive operational and strategic experience as a transformational leader across both the insurance and health care industries.  Prior to joining Optum, she held a number of senior leadership roles at Marsh Inc., most recently as Chief Operating Officer of the International Division.  Natasha joined Marsh from Oliver Wyman, where she led strategic consulting engagements for clients across the entire health care industry, including the US government.  Prior to working with Oliver Wyman, Natasha also worked with the Health Care Initiatives group at General Motors Corporation.

Natasha’s career has focused on developing people and processes to drive top-and bottom-line growth for organizations.  She has expertise in re-engineering and profit improvement, strategy development and execution, M&A and post-merger integration, sales force effectiveness and sales operations, change management, program / project management and delivery, technology delivery, and international business.

Natasha earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Michigan, an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a Doctorate of Medicine from the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University.
