Liz Menges has committed herself to fundraising and advocacy for cancer patients and their families since the death of her young son, Bobby, in September, 2017.
Currently, Liz is an editorial assistant and researcher for a dermatologist, aiding in the publication of two of his medical textbooks. As an active member of her community, Liz is involved at NYU Winthrop Hospital as a Board Member of Twigs, Vice President of the NYU Winthrop Auxiliary, President of the Patient and Family Advisory Council and a member of the NYU Winthrop Board of Regents. While her children were in school, Liz was involved in the Garden City PTA, including as PTA President, a member of numerous teacher and administrator hiring committees, and as chair of several district PTA committees. She has served on the Board of Directors of the Garden City Scholarship Fund for the past four years, and is a sustaining member of the Long Island Junior League.
Liz lives in Garden City, New York with her husband, Peter. In addition to Bobby, they have three adult children.
