The Patient Experience Re/Imagined

We are delighted to announce the launch of The Patient Experience Re/Imagined, a three-part series that will showcase examples of what real patient-centered care looks like. It is our privilege to work with DuPont to produce this important programming, which we believe will provide valuable lessons and a road map for those who want to engage patients more effectively.

The series begins on May 5th with a look at how Mount Sinai Medical Center (MSMC) has succeeded in Reinventing the Emergency Room with its first-in-New-York Geriatric Emergency Department, exclusively for patients 65 and older. Mount Sinai received a coveted “Health Care Innovation Award” from CMS (Center for Medicare & Medicaid) for nearly $13 million to build and test the model.

We will hold the events at DuPont™ Corian® Design Studio, home of Patient Room 2020, a collaborative design for a next-generation inpatient care environment that strives to improve patient experiences and optimize caregiver performance. “We are excited to work with NYC Health Business Leaders to highlight the innovations taking place in today’s healthcare system that bring focus back to the patient. Patient Room 2020 provides the ideal backdrop for discussions around the improving the patient experience,” said Susan Homan, Marketing Manager for DuPont Building Innovations.
