We are thrilled that Cornell Tech’s Healthier Life hub is up and running and now expanding. The Jacobs Technion-Cornell Institute at Cornell Tech recently announced the launch of its second master’s degree – MS in Information Systems with a concentration in Healthier Life – and are actively recruiting students for Fall 2015. They kicked off the program in December with a panel discussion led by Cornell Tech Prof. Deborah Estrin, a pioneer in the fields of mobile health and small data.
NYCHBL was the first organization to introduce Cornell Tech’s healthcare ambitions to a wide audience. We hosted a breakfast on October 10, 2015 at the magnificent Alexandria Center for Life Science. Well over 130 senior executives came to hear Cornell Tech’s Dean Dan Huttenlocher and Professor Estrin outline their plans to transform the technology environment in NYC. Joining them were Tom Beauregard, EVP of United Health Group and Dr. Curtis Cole, CIO at Weill Cornell. Clearly they are making good on their promises!
